Some hesitate but cooking with coconut oil is easy when you know how.

Coconut oil sets below 26°C so you can either scoop out dollops of the hardened oil or place the jar coconut oil in warm water until it is melted.
The subtle flavour of coconut oil almost disappears when combined with ingredients that have distinct flavours, making it suitable to use instead of oil or butter in almost any recipe. If you like a subtle coconut flavour, try coconut oil in salad dressings and marinades.

When you fry with virgin coconut oil you will find that you tend to use less oil, because you have more control of how much you scoop out. Using a good pan, you can get away with doing an omelette in less than 5ml of coconut oil.
